Portfolio too heavy to send: how to get it through without crushing the quality

A photo portfolio is your visual CV. Compressing it to fit inside an email means sending a degraded version of yourself to the person deciding whether to cast you.

A quality actor's or model's portfolio is delivered in high resolution (usually at least 2500 px on the long edge), so it stays sharp both on screen and if the agency prints it. That's not a technical detail, it's what separates a pro portfolio from a batch of hastily compressed photos.

The classic trap: the attachment that crushes quality

A lot of portfolios still go out as email attachments, with photos shrunk to slip under the mailbox size limit. The result: the agency receives a degraded version, sometimes pixelated when enlarged, at the worst possible moment to make a good impression.

A presentation page, not a folder of files

A portfolio is presented, not dumped in bulk. A delivery page that shows the photos in order, with your name and a short introduction, gives the agency a real first impression before they even reach the content.

xFer lets you deliver a portfolio on a page in your brand, at full resolution, in the order you choose. The agency downloads what it needs, and you've sacrificed no quality along the way.

A link that stays valid for the length of the casting

A portfolio may be viewed several times during a casting process that spreads over weeks. Choose an expiry long enough to cover that period, rather than a 72-hour link designed for a one-off send.

In short

Keep your portfolio high-resolution from start to finish, present it on a page rather than as a compressed attachment, and give it time to live throughout the casting.

Deliver your next project in your brand.
